Meet the Artist

Kelly Morrison

B. 2000, Boise, ID

I am a self-taught fine artist born and raised in Boise, Idaho, where the rugged beauty of the American West has shaped both my life and my work. From open skies to working horsemen, I have always found solace and inspiration in the landscapes and cultures that define this region. To me, the West is more than a place—it is a living artistry built from tradition, resilience, and an enduring connection to the land.

My paintings often depict cowboys and figures from Native nations, including the Sioux, the Blackfeet Tribe of Montana, the Nez Perce, and the Shoshone. I approach these subjects with deep respect, recognizing the distinct histories, values, and experiences they represent. Though these cultures are unique, I am moved by the way they share a powerful sense of identity, hard work, and indomitable spirit—qualities that speak to the heart of the West I grew up in.

Through my work, I hope to honor the stories, people, and landscapes that continue to inspire me. My wish is that these paintings evoke the same sense of reverence I feel: one of pride, gratitude, and appreciation for the diverse cultures and natural wonders that make this region so extraordinary.
